List properties
The list ID is an automatically generated human-readable number that identifies the list. It allows you to see order and recency. It’s located in front of the list name.
List ID example: #54
The list name is a form of identification that should be straightforward and self-explanatory. You add the name manually when you create a new list. If you are an Admin, Senior Analyst, or Analyst, you can edit a list name anytime in Lists. Providing an accurate and clear list name helps other users to understand what the list does. Fraugster highly recommends that you develop naming conventions.
List name example: Approves all transactions with email @fraugster.com
To find a specific list, search by the list ID or name.
The list description clarifies what a list does. You add a description manually when you create a new list. As an Admin, Senior Analyst, or Analyst, you can edit list descriptions anytime in Lists.
Labels are words or combination of words that improve your list search experience. They are automatically generated based on the merchant, attribute type, and list type. Examples:
Export lists
You can export a list as a CSV file.
- Go to Lists in the side navigation.
- Open a list.
- Select in the upper-right corner → Export list. The export starts automatically.
Priority
When multiple lists hit a transaction, we apply the following logic to determine which list should take priority. It's also important to understand the relationship between rules and lists when it comes to taking a decision:
- Approve lists take priority over decline lists.
- Lists have priority over rules.
